With that kind of budget, you shouldn't have any problems finding a very nice place. Some people barely earn 25k...

Don't bother with securing an apartment before you actually arrive in BKK. Find a guesthouse (or hotel in your case...) and then spend a few days looking for your future palace.

If you're curious to find out what 25k can get you, check out this link:

And: http://www.thaiapartment.com/ (I assume this is different as there's no s at the end of apartment EDIT no it's the same! Sorry!).

And: http://www.click4apartment.com/index.htm

And this one is superb (Kent if you've not got this on your list of links, it should be!): http://www.easyhorpak.com/

I hope this helps!

First: thank you kenkannif, for that great new apartment link. I'm adding it this evening. Mr. Green

To Ben: I'm not quite sure I understand. Is that 25,000 Baht per month for the apartment, or are you planning to live on a TEFL salary of 25K, and pay rent out of that?

If you're planning to budget 25K for a flat, you'll live like a King. Wink

thanks so much 4 the info .

as far as living like a king , i heard once its good 2 be king .

25,000 doesn't seem like so much when u see places like jasmine suites on soi 23 advertised for 40 k + and , get this , some new marriot place near the US embassy for 90 k +

i know u can get something not to expensive near , say, victory monument for 8 or 10 , but i have some resources (having cashed out on LA's stupid home price appreciation) and want a nice place in the mango.

the area along sukhumvit from soi 39 to almost thonglor is may favorite .

thx again

ben
