Does it really make a difference which Embassy you apply to? I've heard you can only apply to one and your odds of getting accepted are better if you apply to the Embassy that has had the fewest applicants. Anybody know anything about this? Thanx.

What are you applying for? A visa? There are consultants in various parts of the US... and each consulat is assigned to certain states. A countries Embassy is most likely located in Washington D.C. and they over the 'branch' consulats through out the country.
I live in Minneapolis and have had to go through consulates in Chicago in the past to get visas.
In order to find out which one you should go to. Find the ______ (whatever country you want info about) Embassy in the US or Washington DC. Easiest to find in a search engine like google or yahoo.

I hope that helps.

The JET program. I was talking about the JET program. I was told that your odds of getting into the JET program are better depending on which Embassy you apply to. I was told to find out which one has recieved the lower number of applicants and apply there because they only accept a certain number. Is that so? Thanx.
