This, like its neighbours, is a face-to-face society. Go there and knock on doors. Should be interesting but I do not think you will make much money. Enough to survive ? Maybe.

Soros might have something. Check out the Soros Foundation and the Open Society. Yahoo has a group about efl teaching in Macedonia, but most of its members seem to be far from that troubled land.

Can I ask why you are interested in Macedonia ?

The time I was referring was not yours but that of other people. I, for one, took yours to be a serious inquiry. It turns out that it is idle speculation !

"My actual desire to go to Macedonia might not be so burning." If you do not have genuine interest in going, why are you posting questions about going there ?

"Forestgreen" is a bit like those guys who ask about jobs teaching in the Interstellar Space Academy on Aledebaran.

After many genuine replies they let us know that they were never really interested but just wanted to ask a foolish question.

Do us all a favour and stay at home. You can get a job selling Big Macs.
Macedonia has enough problems without you compounding them.

Hmmm? If you knew anything about Macedonia you would know that the country is experiencing civil unrest, as the Albanian minority stage an armed insurrection against the government. Your own governement is indirectly supporting this by providing aid to the Albanian insurrectionists.

And there are no jobs for EFL native speaker teachers in Macedonia. You might find something through Soros, as Albulbul has suggested. But Macedonia is not Korea. You cannot just walk into a private language school becasue of your nationality and possession of a BA.

You have been conned into believing that because your mother tongue is English that you can get a job teaching anywhere on planet Earth. Not true. But like many of your agemates and fellow countrymen, you cannot stand it when an adult tells you that there is no candy for you. I suggest you wait until you have emerged from adolescence before you try to engage in dialogue with adults.
