Hi, Everyone
I am new here.I am presently working in China and I wish to go somewhere else...I want to travel everywhere in the world so I just want to know what options and chances one Non-Native Speaker has not in one perticular country but around the world.
A little more about me
I am an Indian。Worked for 4 years totally (worked for 2 years Mainland China AND 2 years in India ). I have Bachelor's Degree and TEFL TESL Certificate. I look like a Foreigner but yes I am definitely not blue eyes, blonde hair, fair skin.
I wanted to know following
1. If you are a Non Native Speaker which country you can work easily without the hassles of paperwork ?
2. Where can you get job easily considering fact that you are Native Speaker ?
3. Where are you respected and where you are not?
4. Where you can get a good salary and where you can't ?
SORRY ! If this questions are being asked again but I couldn't find it.
I even went through the Search on the same.....but I didn't get my answer. Any Response would be appreciated.

Maybe some of you might know this but still I start with China.
1. If you are a Non Native Speaker you can work easily without any hassles of paperwork because most of the school or Employee would get your Visa,Foreign Expert and Residence Permit.
2. Where can you get job easily considering fact that you are Non Native Speaker. Look for mid size cities and not for big cities. In fact in big cities you earn more and spend more. You save when you live in small place.
Maybe occassionally get comparison.Comparison would ve in order that they want to bargain for the salary. Nothing more if you don't have heavy accent.
3. It's the same the people in remote areas are frendlier than the ones in the city.
4. Anywhere between 3500-7000 RMB.You work more you will get more

Instead I found many Native Speakers v/s Non-Native Speakers arguments. I am Non Native Speaker. I am an Indian working in China from last 2 years but I am proud to say that at the end of the month when we get pay check I get more than many of the Native Speakers.I get love and respect from my kids and chinese colleagues in my school.Have best of the Foreign freinds including Native and Non-Native Speakers....I think it's up to you how you see yourself. If you are good teacher nobody would deny it.If you are confident on who you are don't let people ridicule you.
I don't know where but I had heard this "It only matters if you believe in it"
As I think you get what you have to and you lose what you have to according who you are. You can't change who you are and where you were born or how you look.So all those who are fighting.Accept the Reality on who you are. Know your limitation and strengths.Plan your good future and be Happy. Don't Compare. Don't Fight. KISS --Keep It Simple Stupid |

If you are having such success in China, stay in China. The next best place for you would probably be India. |

Don't listen to Jolly. If your English is good you can teach everywhere.
The truth is that a non-native speakers are very often better teachers of English as a Foreign Language than natives as they know every pain a learner must go through to speak English fluently.
And saying the truth - very often they know things about English the natives do not even think about - its theory, history, phonetics and phonology, etc.
And what's more - They can remember very well what they did to learn English well ( an answer to a very popular Chinese question). That makes them very useful for their Students and many countries invite them to teach arm in arm with native speakers of English.
Just search through the net and you will find many interesting offers . |

First, read the OP's post thoroughly. After that, read your second sentence above. |

Actually, I think Jolly did a reasonably good job of expressing my sentiments, though I don't think I'd have been quite so blunt. |
