Anyone heard anything about this school? I'm in Krakow now and I have to present a 90 min lesson to the owner and DOS. Also, anyone hear of a document that allows you to declare yourself your own company? I'm American. I was told I could get this document for a minimal charge and then be free to teach at whatever school in Krakow I'd like. Interesting and I hope it's as good as it sounds. |

The most important thing in a demo lesson in Poland is your presentation of grammar. Make sure the grammar you present is clear, easily understood and that you only emphasize one or two aspects of the grammar. Don't try to teach them everything about the present perfect for example in one lesson (trust me I tried this and I failed miserably when I arrived out here).
Also be sure to do the exercises yourself so that you will be ready to answer any questions about it.
The DOS wants to see that you can prepare the students to pass the cambridge exams. If you can explain grammar easily and they can see that you are well prepared you will more than likely get the job. Because the schools know that with time teachers who take their work seriously only get better.
Good luck,

Well, first get the job and if you don't like it there then leave.
Of course give them 30 days notice. |
