Hey GGG,
I have lived in China for over 3 years now and there are quite a few Chinese men who are interested in Western woman. Here's the advantages of Chinese men
1) quick to compliment (get ready to hear you're beautiful)
2) always pay (almost all will never let pick up the tab, even if you ask)
3) there is over 500 million of them
4) do the real "gentlemen" things, eg. hold the umbrella when you walk, carry all your bags for you
It's a real ego boast for them to be with a western women. I would say you best bet would be in the bigger cities. The country boys may be shy.
I have been with my Chinese boyfriend for over 2 years now. |

Hi, newbie here. Good on you, girls
When I was in China a few years ago, 90% of the Western men in our circle had got themselves little Chinese girls almost immediately they arrived. The relationships seemed somewhat unhealthy and unequal because of the differences in appearance, age, status and wealth. None of the females in our group who were single and interested in Chinese men ever managed to find a Chinese boyfriend; although one or two of them managed the odd sightseeing trip or dinners together - hardly 'dates', but that's as close as they got. Good on you Western gals for evening up the score a little. |
