It's now tax season in Canada and I'm just wondering what other Canadians have done in regards to taxes. Did you even mention that you had worked abroad? Do we need to claim anything we made here in Taiwan?

Thanks.

Here's a website that may help you with the procedure:

Get paid in cash and don't worry about it.
Good luck,
A.

Thanks for the reply, but I can't get into the site. Maybe it's just down today. Rolling Eyes

This is my second time working abroad. My first was in the UK. When it came around tax time back home (Canada), I didn't end up claiming anything that I made abroad. It's that tax time again (Canada) and now I'm working in Taiwan. They don't give out any T4 slips or other official tax slips to us here so I'm not sure what to do for my taxes back home in Canada. I know there's a section under "Foreign Income" but not sure if I should even bother claiming income made abroad.

In Canada we also get these GST tax rebate checks in the mail quite often that I'm not sure what to do with now that I'm not in Canada. If I go ahead and cash those checks, it could be a big headache later if they slap a bill asking for the money back.

Any help would be great!
Thanks.
