Hi. I am trying to get some feedback on the Longre schools. I did a search and could just find 1 thread from back in 2003 when the Hangzhou school screwed ESLteacher over by withholding his passport etc.

Has anyone worked for them or heard anything about them?

On that thread, I had attempted to point out what I knew about the situation in HZ which was quite different to the one described by the OP. (including cash advanced by the school to the OP, his passport awaiting a visa in Shanghai, then in big rush to go home, debts unpaid)

Anyway, of course the poor lad was completely in the right and had acted in a totally reasonable manner in deciding to go home and withheld not one relevant part of the complete story

Subsequently, Jen2003 (I think) went on her way to bag Longre from everything that they do teacher evaluations to the idea that they would advertise and market their schools.

A friend on mine works there now and another had before too. They both give good reports.

As I understand it and in short, Longre is private training centre that will provide a Z visa and exactly what they promised in your contract if you honour that contract in a reasonable manner.
