hi. i am trying to send a fax message into china. cannot seem to locate the proper country prefix. a little help please.

I hear, from some countries it is 00861

If I remember right, the "0" 86 is for long distance in China, and my firest school put a "0" first, but when you try to fax with a "0" it doesn't work from outside the country???

If calling from the US dial 01186 then the area code then the number. Leave any 0's off the front of the number you have for China.

if anyone knows the numerical prefix sequence for faxing from taiwan to the mainland please let me know. i've tried every permutation of 0's and 86 i can imagine and then some. thank you.
