I may have to abort this fiasco of a trip. I get no responses. Is it because the canucks have once again invaded a la Korea ten years ago when I taught? I thought I would be one of a few Yahoos coming here. It seems our boy Aristotle could be right. Maybe the market is saturated. My lack of Chinese is killing me.
You people are the survivors. I am destined back to the good ol' U.S.
Shame, I found this place rather intriguing in many ways. |

Please note that both of the sites listed above are for recruiters.
Proceed with extreme caution.
Good luck!

Correction Aristotle,
the aacircle company isn't so much a recruiter as a recruiter for recruiters. So you pay this company a fee and all that they do for you is to ship you off to another recruiter. Totally unnecessary and not at all in the teacher's best interests. It looks like most of the "jobs" on the provided link just pass you over to other recruiters. |

The reseach I have seen indicates that AAC is the Australian affiliate of IACC.
International Avenue Consulting Company (IACC) is by far, the biggest and most disreputable job placement agent on Taiwan with links to ESL ASIA/Jobs Japan.

Be careful!

IACC has a job board. If you looked at the site before you posted a comment you would know. The other one IS a recruiter, but if the OP is really looking for a job at least this recruiter spells out all the info. |

So apply for the "jobs" directly. Don't do it through AAC. This way you only have to pay for one recruiter instead of two. |

In the past I used to recommend the services that Chris (the guy who runs AAC) offers. At that time he was a recruiter, and a pretty reasonable one at that.
Now it does appear as if he has taken a step back and just passes people onto another recruiter for a cut of the action. Good on him for doing this, but I can't say that it is in the teachers best interests. Afterall, having one third party involved can make things confusing, but having two is likely to result in misunderstandings that could be avoided by dealing directly.
The only relationship between AAC and IACC is that they are in the same line of business, and that AAC will refer some people over to IACC. They are seperate companies and IACC holds no right over the AAC to my knowledge. |
