Hi, I have the earlham interview. It looks like a good program, but I don't know what the interview part is like or much else. The website is kind of sparse. Anyone have any info? thanks.

Are you referring to the "Teach English in Japan" Prgram? If so, I am currently on that program. There really isn't much to it. It is just like JET but on a much smaller scale. If they take you, you get recommended to Board of Education and thats it. I haven't gotten one email from the Earlham powers that run the program, and I have been on the program since August of last year. The infamous "Every Situation Is Different" motto seems to be in play on the Earlham program too.

As for me, I went into TEJ from JET. Since I was living in Japan when they offered me an interview, they let me do a phone interview. I talked to two people, got the standard questions why, what do I expect, my contributions to the school etc. The phone interview lasted for about 45 minutes.
