Well, despite it being very "easy" to live in Japan, I can't see myself retiring here or anything. Not unless something dramatic happened to change that view.

That's why I'm looking at other options after Japan... Eg. Europe or U.S. Not that the taxes are any lower than Canada, but as Gordon said... You're only young once.

I know a lady who was a medical doctor in Nepal for about 40 years. She returned to Canada only a few years ago to "retire."
