There are Americans working illegally (well, "under the table" shall we say) in Barcelona and Madrid - I know, I go drinking with them If it works for them, I don�t see why it wouldn�t work for Australians too.
Often employers stuff them with worse conditions and lower wages as they know they can get away with it, though. |

| Americans working �under the table�? Are they dwarfs? Or something darker and too unseemly to mention here? Their president is an intellectual pygmy, but is a physical realisation of lack of stature something to aspire to? |

Being paid "under the table" is an expression that is very common in the USA/ Canada. It means that they are paid cash and are not legal employees. |

Yes, indeed.
�Paid under the table� is also an expression used in the civilised world. �Working under the table� implies something else.

Eh? So countries that aren't in the EU aren't European? What about Eastern Europe, Russia?
The Champions' League isn't called the European Union Champions' League and UEFA, footy's governing body is based in....Nyon, Switzerland... |
