Would this be with or without discipline and with or without full wardrobe of costumes? I've seen postings such as the above in Soho but they were usually quite specific in relation to the extras. |

Monsieur "Old Dog" est un agent de voyages, not a teacher... he frequently comes across as slightly excentric...
If I were you, I would try the Academie francaise. BUt if you come for the summer only your chances of finding employment are pretty low. |

Well, frequently "excentric" to the extent that he would prefer to be "eccentric". |

That's right, a typo: eccentric.
You don't know the Academie francaise, Paris??? Then you are no French speaker, are you???
This is France's official cultural institute that has branches all over the world where they teach French courses and prepare locals for living in a French-speaking environment. Do a google search by yourself!
In some Chinese towns they cooperate with a local university and top up the Fench teachers' pay. In Guangzhou for example it is the Sun Yatsen University though there also is an independent AF branch that caters to the Guangzhou public.
As for restaurants and such businesses, your chances of being hired are minimal, and most likely not based on you speaking French. Don't forget we are teachers, not a club of waiters, bouncers and clowns. |
