In 2001 I came to China to teach English, four years later I'm still here but am doing an entirely different line of work. There's been both highs and lows in this time, and there's many things I regret doing - but it's been quite the experience to say the least!

you may need new eye glasses... read the thread's title again... this guy joined the ranks of China's underground society. They sometimes enjoy the protective hand of the national leaders - so long as they show patriotism.

I doubt that people from overseas who come to teach English are welcomed into secret criminal organizations in China.

People from China who go to America are probably not welcomed into secret criminal organizations there, either.

And in neither place would they go on the internet to tell others about it.
