Jesus H. Christ.

Has anyone else tried to get a visa from the London "consul"? I'm after a 60 day visitor visa...what a hassle. I'm using an agent in London to go to the consul on my behalf, and sent my passport, applications forms and credit card number. Now the agent tells me they need my original plane tickets and bank statements to show I have sufficient funds. Not sure how much is sufficient, but assume a couple of thousand at least.

I'm not happy about sending so much personal info to one source. I've used this agent before, but it's leaving me a bit too vulnerable.

Anybody been through this before?

Photocopy of my credit card and the fee was enough.

I went in-person in Bangkok.
