Yes this is the same post as of 2 days ago before I was told by the administrators to re-post after some problems! Thanks for those who replied on the original post, all your comments were most valuable.

Yes I have posted to numerous other forums since I really have no idea of where to teach yet! Guess that maybe lazy in the eyes of some! For me I was just doing research.so here is the original post if you want to reply! Thanks!

I have a degree and master degree in business from a UK uni, a 2 week TESOL course qualification, a CELTA, 2 years teaching experience in a college in Thailand, and when i finish my contract at my present job, i will have had 1 years experience in a prestigious Korean university.

My question to all you knowledgeable people out there, is this....

1)What is the best job I can get there with my qualifications in terms of money/hours/holidays etc etc.
2)I dont need to save money, but I dont want to lose money from home either. Is it possible?
3)I dont want to work split shifts. Is it possible to find a good schedule?
4)I would only like to work at 1 institution. Is this possible?
5)Obviously its nto a deciding factor, but always worth asking. What is the dating scene like there, and is there any chance of having a girlfriend?
How long are the contracts usually for and what happens of you want out?

Any ideas or comments would be most welcome!

Are you actually interested in the life, people, language, culture, and want to actually come here to teach the Chinese English or from reading your report are you just a penny pinching sex tourist that wants to come here, not work or put in the hours, get some but not really put anything into it?

In your years of university study in acquiring two degrees, and teaching three years abroad- most recently at a prestigious Korean university- have you never done a "search," to gather information?

In my experience, and especially at the workplace, people kind of expect us to do what we can for ourselves, before we ask for help.

Your post doesn't suggest to me any degree of effort on your part, yet you keep insisting on throwing this at various forums- originally at thirteen different ones- now, to even more, through 21 time zones! Pardon me, this just seems to be making a mockery of these forums, and us.

There's tons of information available just on the China forum- and ads for jobs to answer many of your questions, as well- if you just take the time to have a look. Then, try here again, if there are still gaps you'd like us to fill. There's plenty of people here, generous with their time, who will be happy to try to help.

Yes i have posted to many forums. That is because as a native speaker i can go to virtually any country to teach English. With this wealth of options, is there anything wrong with doing my research this way, or would you prefer me to write 13 different posts to all the various countries i am interested in?

[Can he really be this dumb? This guy is being berated, around the planet, for these scattershot posts. See the Hong Kong Forum, for example: they've tried, mightily, with good will, to set him straight. He doesn't seem to be listening.]

Cujo,

I'm interested in the job you describe.

Can I schedule all my classes for the afternoon to keep my mornings free? if not, I would be willing to start at ten. And it's ok to bring a woman to my flat, right?

I railed that dude in another forum. I think he's just a troll. With that many qualifications he could easily go to the states and make some serious money, even involving subsidized loans for home ownership.

I can't, for the life of me, see what the OP has done to offend so many people. He's simply making an inquiry. Sure, he's posting on many forums but so what. Obviously, this is part of his "search."

What makes you think that he's a sex tourist? He seems to me just interested in finding a GF. What's so horrible about that.

He's not particularly interested in making big money or doing split shifts. What's so strange about this? Is there anyone who likes split shifts? He doesn't want to lose money working in China. Why is this so offensive?

So what he has a master's degree. Many people do and they come to China for the adventure. Sure he can get a job in the west that pays more money than China. But, what educated person with skills can't?

To the OP-Teaching in China is a fabulous experience. It's much more laid back and relaxed than Korea. You can easily get all the things that you request in your post.

He asked if he can get a decent salary and a girlfriend and you call him a penny pinching sex tourist. WTF?

Beck's, he didn't offend us- many of us are actually trying to help him. Here's the problem, as I see it-

We could all write for days and still not give this man the answer he is looking for. The answer has to come from within.

Unless something of himself is applied to this task, showing him "postcards" of the world by describing our experiences will not help him choose.

You can make a life almost anywhere- he has said that he feels he has the choice of almost anywhere in the world- problem is, nothing inside is speaking to him to provide him an answer. It's almost as if he's saying, "Tell me what to do with myself."

No one can: nobody, else, can.

the Xiamen positions as they relate to your questions.

1 Full time university lecturer
2 $USD5000 month (Paid in USD, in cash or into the USD account which is opened on your behalf at the Bank Of China..
3 9am-4pm, no weekends and finish at 12pm on Friday. (Fridays are casual by the way.)
4 Yes.
5 There is a great demand among the young ladies in this city for available westerners. No problem there.
6 The contracts are 3 months to six years, if you want out we will give you one months bonus and a plane ticket or drive you to where you want to go.

Just get to Xiamen and call me from the airport.

I think you might be pulling his leg....if not, pm me.
