Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone had taught in Korea as well as in Indonesia and how the 2 differ. Which one did you prefer? Are the salaries/hours etc comparable? (with cost of living etc.) Any info would be great! Thanks in advance!

I've taught in both Indo and Korea. If you wanna make money go to Korea. If you wanna enjoy life go to Indo. Korean people are rude, sneaky little *beep*. Of course not all are I have many korean friends but everyone that works in korea has a terrible horror story about an employer that right fuged them outta money accomadation and whatever else. That being said even if you do get screwed out of a bit of cash your normal monthly Salary with privates is atleast 3 g's a month. If you need to make money go there beore you go to Indonesia because it is so dramatically different and people in general are so much nicer in Indo that you won't last very long. I made it 5 months in Korea after leaving Indo. I hope I was some help

Cheers,

I've only taught in North America and Korea, but from the traveling I've done and other teachers I've talked to it appears that the above is true. Only 3 more months here and I'm off to a warmer and more friendly part of the world.

Having said that, I was happy in Korea until I traveld to warmer parts of Asia.

In debt? Struggle in Korea for a year or two. Not in debt? Anywhere else.
