|
|
I have someone in this board to thank for all their help and hard work. I live in Montreal and I came across a post by a guy named Ghost. I knew I had to speak to this person and decided to contact him from the board directly. When I had reached him by e-mail I asked if I could send him my number so I can get some more information. No problem.
The guy was helpful and didn't know what to do for me. He also asked if I had ever "read the posts on the board about him" and my reply was "no". I admit i'm not a poster, but I did want to speak to someone in Montreal who could help me. He asked if I had minded that there were negative posts about him, and ofcourse I didn't mind because I am not a judgemental person in general.
I met Ghost and he happens to be one of the nicest people I have ever met. Had in not been for him, I probably would have never landed my job in Turkey. He guided me and stressed that I be persistent and because of that I landed a few jobs. One university, one college and three language schools. I chose the one I thought had the best reputation, and I went with E.T.
So, I am not clued as to how nasty some people can be towards eachother on these boards. People can be very opinionated and often at times very negative. However keep in mind, how different these same people can be when someone comes out of nowhere and reaches out for their help. One of the most pleasurable things that blew my mind from this whole ordeal was he never even asked me for anything and that's partially what makes him so special. I look forward to learning more from him. thanks ghost, take care I hope I didn't say anything too wrong here lol.
Good luck to everyone! |

Why thank you Entrailicus for setting the record straight for all of us I never knew your name was Dave. I admire your enthusiasm but I would think that Ghost has the freedom to discuss what is relevant or not. This is a message board, please don't imply that if it isn't "relevant to Turkey" he is an enemy of yours? I am hoping you have a little bit more going on in your mind. I think I have found all the help I need for now, thanks. |

How old are you? Are you sure he didn't ask you for anything? |

Actually I thought Peanut suited you better.
Is "howmucharefags" your boyfriend? Hmm very coincidental he found his way into this forum and to your rescue, probably your other ID I would assume. In case you get booted from David? Beggar's belief you say? Why I haven't heard that term since the days of Sherlock Holmes. Please tell me you have something more creative to come up with? Or is fool's gold, also in your vocabulary?
I can see why students would get bored with you, not a very good asset I would say. If that's the terminology you sport than I guarantee that any advice coming from you would be considered "alot of talk in a basket".
I would sooner trust the opinion of someone who doesn't think that "utter crock" is worthwhile information. Nice try.
Anyhow i'm not going to banter with you and that's why I don't post or come on forums often. I wish I had your schedule, and with those comments and bickering I'll assume your reclyner is electrical. So i'll leave you with your newspaper and purple eggs. |

I can see why our ghost and '73 (or is it Macaulay Culkin?) get along so well. They both have an unnatural "affinity" for "quotation" marks.
Or at least that's what yaramaz has "noticed". |

Hello Yaramaz, it's a pleasure meeting you. I thought I would come back and personally introduce myself I didn't want to be rude. I know your presence here is well known.
I have been to your website and saw those lovely pictures of Turkey you took are you a photographer? Oh yes you teach English, I got confused. That's a very nice haircut you were sporting also, actually, at first I thought you were a model is that why you went to Turkey? I know it's hard to meet back home, the dating scene can get kind of slow in the wintertime.
Well it's been a pleasure can I just call you Maz? Or would you prefer Matthew? Well take care anyhow and I like your avatar, don't fall off |

There was no need for that flaming or ''flamming'' jibe. If you are not happy with my posts or PMs why don`t you contact the moderator? |

More like Zoe screaming after one of her drink fuelled paranoid one leg ranting sessions. |
