This is my first post to this forum.

I am an EFL vet (have taught at all levels and have a B.Ed. along with graduate degrees) who's getting ready to retire, though I'm nowhere near 60.

I have been to the Guadalajara area about three times as a tourist. Now I am thinking of retiring in the Lake Chapala region, 45 min. out of GDL. Would it be worth it to drive into GDL to work at a univ. or elsewhere assuming I could be hired? Or would it be better to try to get on at a private K-12 school in the area? How difficult is the FM-3 process and the ?apostile? procedure for degrees? I wouldn't really need the money, but I would enjoy working (I hope).
