I wore comfy sweatpants and a t-shirt, with a hoodie in case I got cold on the flight.
I changed into jeans and a zipup hoodie from roots when I landed.
I wore sneakers the whole way. Definitely wear sneakers. Lots of walking.
Everyone was wearing jeans at the airport.Dont' stress about it.
You're gonna land, take a train, and basically go to bed. You will be in training for a week. Wear something nice during training. Who cares about the flight...be comfy. Nobody from AEON is going to expect you to show up in a suit immediately after getting off the plane.
Make sure you have an umbrella handy. Rainy season is starting. Maybe think about waterproofing your sneakers. |

Ah, wait until the temps hit the 100's and the humidity hits the 90% mark (and that's just at night (nah, not really - only between 8 a.m. and 2 or so in the morning)).
Enjoy the KIX in Kinki Kansai. You can email home (or start posting here) from the terminals in Arrivals as soon as you clear immigration and pick up your bags. |

I think a shirt with long sleeves or a sweatshirt.
I find that often on planes the air conditioning makes me feel chilly.
My wife always asks for a blanket for that reason.
Wear comfortable shoes, too.
I like to bring ear plugs because my ears are sensitive to take-offs and landings. |

I work for AEON*Amity, and I wore a T-shirt, shorts, and sneakers on the flight. Actually, my recruiters specifically told me to dress comfortably. It was the end of August, so it was really hot and humid, and no one I showed up with was dressed up.
Good luck! |

| wear clothes with pockets sewn in to the inside leg and crutch area so as to make it harder for customs to find your concealed narcotics. |

she was comfy... took me a while to get comfy with the concept though
the ones she wore flying to Nz , light blue with white sheep all over them helped the other go to sleep too..
not sure if Aeon will approve ....

| Yeah but i am not wearing a dress on a 14 hour flight. I want to relax, any girls have any ideas on this.... guys don't wear dresses and the thought of being on a plane that long in a dress..... nope |
I got a great ideal! Wear nothing! Go completely nude! I bet everyone will like you!
Seriously I not only taught for AEON before I was their lead recruiter. It is a Japanese thing. AEON will not hire you if you are not wearing dress. That plane and simple. No dress no job!
True most men don't wear dresses, but we have to wear a tie which is just as bad if not worst! Anyway consider wearing a dress. You got the job now keep it!
Good luck katk. |

Isn't he a tease; oh how we laugh.
Ignore him Katk, wear what you like on the plane.
Once training starts you can change into your dress, or skirt, or pants, and your jacket. During my training one guy never wore his jacket from the moment he arrived until the day it was over. But he looked immaculate in white shirt and tie and could get away with it; everybody else wore jackets to walk into the building and then then immediately took them off again and hung them up on the hangers provided til the end of the day.
When you get to the school dress smart for your first day and then just follow the example of your Japanese colleagues; which will probably mean another set of hangers for the jackets and a smart skirt or pants, and top.
You are on your way. You no longer have to impress anybody. Enjoy your classes and try to keep onside with your co-workers. It would cost a lot for Aeon to replace you and you would have to go some to get sacked.
Believe me. I know.
Ignore the idiots. Welcome to Japan,
and....
ENJOY!! |

stillnosheep is trying to set you up for failure! Trust me, I know! stillnosheep is a troll! She is right about dressing smart your first day.
Trust me, no dress on the flight to Japan, and you will be out of a job!
Good luck to you! |

Funny stuff,
Dress comfortable on the plane.
On your first formal day "1st day of training/office" you better dress like a business woman because it's the impression that will last. They don't care how you look when you get off the plane (As long as you don't look like a backpacker for customs) |

| Why should Aeon care how you dress on the plane? Will you be teaching classes during the fight?!?! How you dress when you aren't at work is YOUR BUSINESS! That having been said, I usually choose to dress conservatively and semi-professionally whenever I travel internationally. I usually wear a sportscoat, a shirt with a collar (but no tie) and loose fitting, comfortable slacks. Dressing conservatively will save you a lot of hassle at customs and immigration! But, try to be comfortable too! It's a long flight! |

You're not going straight to work from the airport, are you? I assume you get to go to your new apartment and have a day or so off before training (not sure, I'm a public school teacher). Just wear some loose fitting cargo pants and a light summer top, and bring a light sweater or something for the plane if ya get cold easily.
If your avatar is YOUR photo, you can come wearing a potato sack and they won't care But seriously, it's such a crappy flight that I haven't gone home in THREE YEARS, so try to be comfortable. |
