I've met some unasuming,shy foreign fellas that are absolute sweethearts who have found happiness here in Japan. Think Edward Norton, not Brad Pitt. Two of the guys I know married in their 40s to Japanese women their own age. They're both super happy. One couple has a son in school. The other couple are talking about it.
Now, on the gal's side, it's waaaaay harder. I think I'm an attractive person, but the only people I get compliments from are high school girls. They tell me I have style. I'm not interested in style so much as conversation and a good heart.
I've found that the physically attractive guys might get lots of attention here, but just like home, shallow gals like shallow guys, and you'll see lots of eye candy boys with beautiful girls draped all over 'em. |
