The summer of 86-87 was a great time in cricket. The sun, the great chaple brothers Rod Marsh and the rest, even grass ( in all forms ) was stronger sade of green.
Who's your dream team. |

Surely there must be a few Windies in it. No Scots though. However Alex Stewart was Scottish even though he played for England. Would he be keeper with a good average as a middle order batsman. |

a twenty20 game is very different from a 5 day test. a twenty20 match just shows that you can slog. What do you think of thetwenty20 format. personally I like it but I know the stuffy traditionalists at MCC,etc do not like it. |

Why is football the national sport in the uk whereas in NZ it is rugby. And the national sport in Oz is..... depends on where you live doesn't it. so how can Australia win the ashes when they can't even decide on a national sport.(Yes I know Scotland's cricket team can't even compete with the minor counties) |

It's because of the crap federal system the Brits gave us.
If your from Vic, W.A, Tas, N.T, or S.A it's O.Z football, if your from Queensland or N.S.W then it's rugby.
Thats not hard to understand. As for cricket as long as we beat the Poms we all love the game. |

Did you hear that Symonds was withdrawn from the team cos he had the flu, then a muscle spasm then they admitted the truth. He had a hangover having spent the evening on the pith in Cardif. |

I've just been speaking to someone that works at the Ciragan palace.
When the F1 comes to Istanbul they are charging 5000 dollars for three nights. That doesn't include VAT or even breakfast!!!!! |

Back in Melb/O.Z friends used to rent out their small flat that over looks the F1 pist for around 2500$ a week. Another friend still rents out her flat to people for race. Her place is good half hour away but still she finds punters to rent it.
I wounder if I could talk my wife into renting out our place during the race. |
