any company that names itself after a Spielberg alien that looks like a withered scrotum with a eighty-f4g-a-day habit can't be good.

I presume quite a few of you have seen that guy dressed as an alien on Istiklal handing out flyers for the alien museum. Has anyone been in to it. It's up a side street of istiklal and really crap.

I don't know if they're improving the industry, but they're definitely standardizing it. Like McDonald's...

You say you will place a vote, when? How would you vote one way but change your vote if the industry was changed to profession? Is ET improving the industry but not the profession or vice versa-doesn`t make any sense.

I used the word industry because that is what it is. The tourism industry has lots of workers but also has many professions in it such as people with degrees in hotel management and tourism.

it does make sense ...when you are talking about the word "industry" you are reffering to everyone in EFL including the students, office stuff, teachers, DOSes etc.... ET might be doing a great job for some of them but something good for tourists in tourism industry might not be good for the stuff working in the industry, so the profession and the industry are different for me too.

31 - you like living on the edge don't you? I wonder if Molly's offer to buy you a beer will hold up after this thread?
Exactly what are the ET statistics in Turkey re: number of schools and teachers? (still wondering how Molly hasn't discovered your identity!)

TEFL is more like living in the gutter.

I have always been willing to bury the hatchet.

Statistics? They are just publishing a 1947 consolidated list of Nazi war criminals (see skynews.com today) which would be as much fun as reading those statistics you mentioned.

Too many red herrings-that is how I have stayed undiscovered.

I am sure that I have mentioned this before and I had this (PM) exchange with Faustino on the same subject. Notice how Faustiono in order to keep his identity secret mentioned in posts that he worked at a private uni/language school. Scarred 2 in one of her posts said she would never reveal her identity here in case she was desperate one day and needed to get a job at The Crime.

I too have thrown a number of red herrings here but have never, I think, exagerated things like qualifications or experience. So for CTEFLA in Spain read CTEFLA in UK/Italy/ etc.

I do work at a private uni and a language school. Can't say it's good to be back. There must be better things to talk about on this forum; I can't believe Breadmoney/handshandy is still going on about ET.
