|
|
I live in London, Ontario, Canada and am about to enrol in a TESOL course.
Does anyone have any comments with respect to the above named institutions?
Global TESOL is $1,000. Included in their fee are two specialization courses.
Oxford Seminars is ~ $850 and does not include any specializations.
Thank you for your assistance.

took the oxford seminars course in February and I am getting ready to now look for work. I would recommend taking the course close to the time you are ready to go. Feel like I have forgotten half of everything. It was a pretty intensive 3 weekends, however, I felt they covered alot and there was no wasting time. Our teachers were fantastic and the small class (about 25) really bonded. So far, I have not run into any schools in Korea (country of choice) that have been picky about the tesl diploma or lack of specialization, however, I know that many european schools are picky about about it being a Cambridge diploma. Anyways- hope this helps! I would say-go for Oxford! I felt I got my moneys worth. |

I took the Oxford Seminars course too and found it intensive; covers practical ESL teaching and uses current methodologies such as collaborative teaching techniques. Anyone interested in teaching English overseas should get more than their money's worth with this TESL Certification. |
