greetings to all.
my name is nicky, i'm new here and of course have a question or two.
i just finished my BA in English(with a minor in Spanish) at NC State University, I'm 27 years old and am interested in testing the waters in an ESL career.
My question regards Oxford House TEFL, whose ad I saw here on dave's. They accepted me into their program, and I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with them, horror stories, or other input. I hadn't seen any threads posted in my quick scanning of the newbie forum so here I go.
Anyways, I appreciate it. Thanks a lot.

What exactly are you hoping to do with them? Is this the Trinity Cert. course?
I did my Trinity Diploma (a higher level qualification for when you've been teaching a few years) with them in 2001-2002 in London. They were good and charged a fair price. I know they've expanded since then - I believe they opened in Spain, Czech and Oxford so can't comment on these newer centres. They used to be just in London off Oxford Street.
If it is the Trinity Certificate we're talking, you shouldn't worry about the course. They have a long association of delivering Trinity and it's externally moderated so it'll be fine wherever you do it. |
