Global English Corporation, based in San Francisco, placed an ad on the TEFL.com website on July 1. This company is apparently seeking people to moderate online classrooms. Here is the link:

Be aware, though, that applicants are required to have 5 years of TEFL experience, specifically to non-native adult speakers, and online teaching experience is preferred. |

Couple of years back I got an offer to teach online with EF here in the US (based in Boston). Your salary per hour is based on your experience, so they were offering me $15 or $18 (can't remember). I never really got started because I did not buy the headset... I know EF sometimes gets a bad rap, but they seemed to be a helpful bunch and tried to set me up with a buddy system so that I could get started and understand what to do. |
