No.
If you worked with yourself, that would mean that you are a split personality--which clearly excludes your being sane. |

You people have GOT to be kidding me!
NO ONE has worked with really good teachers?? I find that impossible to believe.
I had a fantastic team in Shenyang. Oh, even the sane ones liked to go out and get silly. But as far as work was concerned, these people were PROS. I can't account for it, except that someone must have somehow worked professionalism into the school culture, so that all who came after were sort of peer preassured into conforming, or else ostricized and eventually pushed out.
Many of these teachers were trained by EF Britain by or under the supervision of one Huan Japes, and that man runs a tight ship. At one point, the majority of my teachers came from him, and that led to some seriously competent teachers. It's not entirely fair to list any names because I don't want to leave anyone out. If a teacher was at EF Shenyang between, say, late 2003 until about March or April of 2005, those are the ones I am refering to (except for the flippin' FREAKS who, as I said, tended to leave early anyway). |

Had a great colleague who was teaching a kids class one day that was really playing up. He decided there was no way they were going to start behaving better, so after 10 minutes just told them all to go home and he went back to the Teachers' Room. Apparantly after a few minutes one of the kids came and asked when he was coming back to class, and he just told him the lesson was over and they should all just go home.
Next lesson they brought him a cake to say sorry and were good as gold. |

Although all the teachers in my last job ruled my partner Esther was great. She has been there for 6 years and knew how to handle the kids.

Careful with the assumptions. I never said they weren't good. I said they weren't sane. You gotta be a little crazy for this gig...
Crazy like a fox,
