I don't understand this forum is supposed to be about Turkey. Were supposed to help eachother. I am going to be moving to Turkey for the rest of my life. I would like to find some subjective/objective opinions...so i'm asking please do not use my posts as a war zone.

Thank you.

I'm sorry about that, but when I visit the forum after a week to find someone slagging me off in a post that I have nothing to do with it gets my back up.

Yeah, TEFL really is a predicament. A viscous circle of bad pay, poor conditions, working with drunks and nutters and no way of going back to your own country.

Interesting OP from a guy who wrote this to Entraillicus:

Quote:
Actually I thought Peanut suited you better.

Is "howmucharefags" your boyfriend? Hmm very coincidental he found his way into this forum and to your rescue, probably your other ID I would assume. In case you get booted from David? Beggar's belief you say? Why I haven't heard that term since the days of Sherlock Holmes. Please tell me you have something more creative to come up with? Or is fool's gold, also in your vocabulary?

I can see why students would get bored with you, not a very good asset I would say. If that's the terminology you sport than I guarantee that any advice coming from you would be considered "alot of talk in a basket".

I would sooner trust the opinion of someone who doesn't think that "utter crock" is worthwhile information. Nice try.

Anyhow i'm not going to banter with you and that's why I don't post or come on forums often. I wish I had your schedule, and with those comments and bickering I'll assume your reclyner is electrical. So i'll leave you with your newspaper and purple eggs.

There are several other comments from him(?) that, while not exactly abusive, could be described as snide. Perhaps esl_teacher1973 could enlighten us as to why people argue in here?

So that explains why he went back on his promise to give me that rhubarb. He claimed it was out of season or something.

Have I just been threatened? 'End it right here' or you'll what, threaten me further? Tease me?

I quiver.

You still haven't explained why people argue here.

[quote="Entrailicus"]Don't bring up 73's early posts everyone. He was just an over-excited newcomer

Hope he didn't get too much boybutter over the keyboard.

Maybe Dave's will amend the beep function to include troubling archaic or obscure words and expressions. Like 'allay'. That's one word I hope never to see on this forum. It sure would stop a lot of the arguing that goes on in here.

Perhaps I'm playing dumb, but exactly why does 'Peanut' suit you, Entrailicus?

I am not being bellicose. Ornery, perhaps, but not bellicose. Or should those words also be banned?
