Hm. Maybe she has father issues or maybe her Pa has a different role in the business. He's a well known Seattle brewmaster-- but he may be in a supervisory or something role.

No free beer (that'd be rude) but she said I could sample some of the bottled stuff brought home. And probably a discount of some sort in the pub. However, she's off to Malaysia soon so I hope to squeeze in a tasting efore its too late.

Greetings all
I am scribbling to you from near Peterborough, Ontario( 1hr and 15 NE of Toronto). So much access to beer, so little time.
I am considering coming to Turkey to teach. Any suggestions or ideas about available teaching in the south of Turkey? Complete newbie here when it comes to Turkey, my previous experience comes from Mexico.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Cheers,
billyd

Don't get fooled by ET into accepting one of its dubious newbie offers. Anytime now you will be PMed by ET and they will do their hard sell. They will offer you a low rate like 14 YTL an hour and tell you anything to sign you up.

Billyd, as far as I know, there are language schools in the city of Antalya. I think for somone who doesn't know Turkey well, Antalya could be fun. It is a big tourist area. I'd would love to be there as it is close to my favorite place-Olympos! Perhaps someone else on this forum knows exact info on language schools/living in Antalya. ?

ET has a hard job getting enough teachers even though it accepts people without degrees.

Sorry to fan the flames, but yesterday I was 'offered' a 'job' by the guy handing out brochures out front of the Mecediyeky ET. He said 'Yes please! Would you like here working! Come here!'

I 'politely' declined.

You're lucky. I am in Mecidiyekoy almost every day and probably the same guy asks me if I want to LEARN English.
