It is late and I should be going to bed but I thought hey..if it can help some people why not share the wealth.
This is a comprehensive diet plan that I use when I really want to shed fat. This is only for people who want a healthier diet. Results are quick but watch the dizzy spells hehe.
There's three important things to keep in mind when losing weight
1) What time you eat
2) What you eat
3) How much you eat
Time scales
8:00 am breakfast
10:00 am snack
12:00 pm lunch
3:00 pm snack
6:00 pm supper
8:00 pm snack
The biggest mistake people make is night time binging. As you get older it's harder to stay off the sweets at night. No more sweets after 3:00pm. No more eating after 8:00 pm. If you start your meals from early in the morning you won't want to eat after 8:00pm because you will have been eating all day and you will be so full, you won't even want to eat dinner!
Do not skip meals..........
You can mix and match any of these meals to fit your shedule.
Breakfast
8:00 am
Plain yogurt (sweeten only with fruits) no artificial sugar!
Fruits in general
Whole Wheat cereal (sweeten with fruits)
poached eggs (take out the yoke)
Orange/apple juice
1 slice of brown toast (plain)
Plain Porridge (small twinkles of brown sugar)
Skim Milk
Snacks:
10 am-3pm-8pm
Any Fruit
Any Vegetable
Protein shake
Plain Almonds
Slice of whole wheat toast
Whole Wheat crackers
Lunch/Dinner
Grilled or regular chicken (no skin)
Veggies (big time greens)
Any type of fish (non-breaded)
Most meat is good (plain...do not season)
Salads (no dressing)
Tuna (no mayo) empty the can and do not drink the oil.
Use Pam to oil the pan no more olive or Veggie oil.
Plain Almonds
Whole Wheat Pasta (get a low fat pasta sauce)
Pita bread is a special treat
Tidbits:
You can cheat once a week but not on a daily basis, because it will interfere with your diet. It's the small things that you need to cut out. Like the mayo's and the dressings, ketchups, breads, rice, potatoes etc...
If you can follow this diet your on your way to losing fast. If you crave something too much just eat it and nevermind the bullocks. It's unhealthy to ignore extreme cravings. Buy a block of white cheese and eat a slice or two in case you get dizzy and drink two litres of water a day minimum so you can flush the water that was being retained in your system.
Going to the gym is like your boxing match 87% of what you do to keep healthy is actually outside the gym. Your working hard on this diet prepare yourself for the gym and mix up your cardio. Never do the same excercises and switch programs every 6 weeks no one likes to plateau.
I'll write up a work out program when I'm less exhausted.

this sounds useful. i just lost 20lbs with an eating plan that is similar and i still eat like that most of the time to keep the weight off. looking forward to seeing what you write for the work out program, i could use a change up. |

Alrıght my fellow demons now that im ın Turkey perhaps I can do a follow up.
İ'm not goıng to wrıte a whole work out program because everyone's perferences are dıfferent. However I wıll say 4 excerısises for each body part and cardıo at least 20 mınutes once a day. Change ıt up, and try dıfferent patterns. Some burn fat quıcker than others. Just make sure you keep your heart rate goıng at all tımes by eatıng and doıng small thıngs lıke takıng the staırs ınstead of the elevator, run/walk fast to do errands ınstead of walkıng, etc. Just keep the body pumpıng. Most ımporant, stıck to the routıne, your never behınd and ıt's never too late or a waste of tıme. Adıos all! Remember ıt's all about feelıng good. I need to feel weıghts ın my body or else ı'm not happenıng ya dıg? What others thınk ıs paınful, makes me feel great! |

Here is the story of the weight loss.
January 2005 - Ghost weighs 83 kilos (183 pounds/13 stones). Ghost is 6 feet two inches (1.88)
In April 2005, after a visit to the Doctor and a full medical, which showed cholesterol to be higher than the recommended number, ghost went on a diet.
By July 1 2005, after 8 weeks of diet and increase in exercise, the "new ghost" (slimmer version) tipped the scales at 73.64 kilos (162 pounds).
Here is what ghost did to lose weight.
1. Diet
Switched from 'black tea' with milk, to green tea without milk.
Cut out cokes and other carbonated beverages from the table.
Cut down on desserts. In the past the 'fatty ghost' could easily wolf down a whole packet of cookies (biscuits) in one sitting. The 'new ghost' limited his desserts to no more than 4-5 digestive cookies (low in fat).
Drank lots and lots of water instead of soft drinks.
2. Exercise
"Fatty ghost" would exercise 3-4 times a week, running about 30 minutes on alternate days.
The new diet and exercise plan (from April 2005) saw ghost increase his exercise to minimum of 1 hour a day at the YMCA, with all cardio exercises - 30 minutes on the rower and 30 minutes on the exercise bike. In addition ghost still ran 30 minutes four times a week in addition to the daily gym one hour sessions.
Summer job - Worked for 'Good Humour' Ice Cream company, selling ice cream from a tricycle, peddaling up to 8 miles a day on the bike, some of it uphill.
Now that ghost is in Taiwan teaching at a High School there, the aim will be to stay at the same weight, but it will not be easy with no gym. Ghost walks to work and jogs four times a week.
Watch this space for more updates in the months to come. |

Ghost lost weight for health reasons (cholesterol too high) and because of excess tummy fat - which is common in men over a certain age.
While it is true that skinny looking people do not 'look healthy' - appearances are deceptive, and what you really need to do to evaluate health is to do a full medical exam (conducted with the help of a Laboratory) which includes all the common analyses (urine, blood, blood pressure, etc...) - only when you look at those numbers can you get a true picture of health for the person as a whole.
Ghost used to be a competitive long distance runner/marathon runner, so the greyhound look was never surprising. When ghost was at its peak as a runner, it weighed just 66 kilos for 1.88 in height - now that was skinny, even ghost will admit to that. But 73 kilos for 1.88 gives a normal range BMI (body mass index).
Feel free to check your own body mass index (do a "Body Mass Index" search on google) and this will tell you how you rate. |

Ghost just did BMI check for "howmucharefags" and the result shows that "howmucharefags" is overweight.
Here are the stats:
Howmucharefags: 6feet 2 inches - 207 pounds (94 kilos/14.77 stones)
His Body Mass Index= 26.6
Ghost: 6feet 2 inches - 162 pounds (73.63 kilos/11.5 stones)
Ghost Body Mass Index = 20.9
Underweight <18.5 (or less)
Normal 18.5-24.9
Overweight 25-29.9
Obese 30 or more
As you can see from the numbers, ghost is within the normal range, but 'howmucharefags" is not.
Those considered overweight (like "howmuch") run the risk of cardiovascular problems, strokes, diabetes, and a host of other debilitating illnesses which might have been prevented through a sensible diet and exercise plan, such as the one which ghost suggested.
Check your numbers on the BMI scales, before the numbers get to you.... |
