Hi All,
What do you carry, and need, in terms of documentation, to work as a teacher in Turkey? Does it all need to be stamped certified by a JP? (No scoffing or scorning re professionalism please, 31. I'm interested in doing things the correct way.)

Obviously a CV is important, and some references, reports from professional experience and passport ID etc. What's else qualifies for an essential starter kit?

I have just compiled the mother load of documentation, all required for government ed authorities in oz-trail-ya. Police checks, birth certs, the whole gamut of anything on paper. You name it, they want it. It's exhausting.

To get the work permit you need passport, degree and teaching qualification. They will need to be translated and noterised. Your school should organise this for you.

You need the actual diploma and certificate, by the way, i.e. it is not enough to list them on your CV.

I've just compiled a portfolio, which is part of the requirement here. It has 156 pages! Only half of it's really worth anything: testamurs, birth cert, refs etc. I'm going to scan everything really important anyway and upload it. Then someone in some far-flung exotic land can steal my identity Who wants it?

My breaks failed today, and I nearly smashed into 2 cars on the highway.

I went back to school today to tidy up some loose ends . My report was fine. My teacher...well...argh. He still has problems. I realised today 'prac' is actually meant to be an anagram. Now I have to put together a power point for the interview. Will it never end? Ah, it will end. 9am tomorrow morning.
