Hi Carlos,

If you're still looking, I have a friend who does this sort of thing (properties and such).

PM me if you'd like her info.

Hi guys, I just got back into BsAs and am looking for a place, too. Right now Im staying at a friends place not paying rent but I cant do this forever. The cheapest offer Ive gotten so far is a single room in a hostel for 650 Arg. pesos a month. If anyone knows of a better deal somewhere in town, all advice is sincerely appreciated. Thanks.

Hiya,
Ive dealt with the tourist agencies (for short term of which my friends run 2) and have scoured Clarin (the local newspaper) and to be honest the agencies arent worth it. If you can save up enough for a min of 3 months the (argentine)agency Im dealing with doesnt need a guarantor (there are some that will not work round it). I dont know what your budgets are but to be honest coming from London the stuff you get here is amazing. I prefer (and have reserved) a flat in San Telmo which is considered rough but to be honest is similar to where i live in London (i.e real with a bit of life to it) Sure if you want to live in Recoleta its going to cost more but its a rich part of town. My advice is dont panic about the guarantor situation save as much cash as you can before you come and youre in a great position to bargain, you will find something you might just need to put a bit of leg work in. Nat
