I am a college graduate and I wondered what contries in the Middle East offer good contract for people without degrees?

Let me get this straight... you are a college graduate, but you want to know what places offer good contracts for people who are NOT college graduates??

Anyway the answer is easy..

NONE!!

Yes, I have a college diploma, not a degree. I am windering what countries offer contract to those of us with diplomas but not degrees.

The answer is the same... for the Gulf, none...

If you have also have a recognized EFL certification, like CELTA (not one of those weekend certs) - and some teaching experience, you might be able to pick up some hourly work in North Africa or the Levant, but you would barely make enough to survive.

The Middle East is not one of the parts of the world where you can teach English just because you theoretically speak it. For that you would need to head to the poorer countries of Asia, Africa, and South America.

The majority of teachers in the Middle East have an MA... or CELTA or DELTA and years of teaching experience.

No jobs in the Gulf Countries unless you have a degree. Usually certification or teacher training and experience are also required.

Try Korea or China.

And teachers should be able to spell.

Only one person responded in a way that might be construed as rude. Frankly, what he said did indeed have a certain amount of relevance.

Many people post questions here, who come across as assuming that just because they speak English, they are qualified to teach it, including in areas that pay very well.

With lots of well-qualified and experienced people out there, your chances of getting decent Gulf work are...deservedly, I would say...basically zero.

I agree with VS. If your knickers are in a twist already, then the Gulf is definitley not the place for you. Furthermore, it is not the responsibility of anyone here to so your legwork. Start by looking at the jobs posted on the board. That alone will tell you what's available to people without degrees. If you're too lazy to do your own research, that's on your own head.

Finally, "college graduate" is generally used for people who have earned degrees, not diplomas.

I have lots of constructive as well as destructive things to say about people who think they deserve a teaching job just because they can speak English, even if they cannot spell. But I digress...

Much more importantly, Lodge Kilmolymock is up for sale. I don�t think it�s hard times, I think they are moving to the dark side. I winder (!) why?
