The infamous Hash House Harriers are not everyone's cup of tea, but the Ankara Hash will certainly get you out of the city and put a little adventure in your life. I ran with them about 5 years ago ... and they're a well-organized and friendly bunch ... about half Turk and half expat. Every Sunday at 12 o'clock they meet up next to Segmenler Park in ankaya. Then they bus you out to some reservoir or forest outside the city. You don't have to be 4-minute-miler to be a hasher ... most of the Ankara Hashers probably couldn't run one in ten minutes :-)
If you want to find out more about (W)ankara, as we in the Istanbul Hash call them, then click on this link:

I presume you're wanting the Istanbul Hash's web site. Well, that would be www.ih3.org
Once on the web site, to get the most up-to-the-minute news, you should click on the IH3 logo for access to ihash yahoogroup messages.
There you'll see that there is a run planned for this evening ... meet at the place used for the Ulus Pazar at 7.15 for a 7.30 start ... the mad Greek, Yannis 'Dick Martin' Tsioros, is in charge of proceedings. |
