Good luck!

You guys are way off base. Now that you are in Argentina, you need to pick up a strong smoking habit and drink copius amounts of coffee and mat. Then, you wont have that muscled-up look that is so common to us North Americans. The frail-androgenous look is where it is at...
As far as your actual health, well, this is Latin America. Live for today and take advantage of the cheap health care tomorrow.
Good luck with the vitamin thing. What I have been doing is eating a lot of produce. Just go to a market. Vegetables and fruits are about a tenth of what they were in the States and (while not proven that I know of) it is probably better to get nutrients from natural sources anyway since processing usually reduces quality and it is unlikely that any chemical compound can completely replace natural compounds. Like fiber for instance...are you guys staying "regular"??? (and the forum has reached a new low) |

i think ur associating with the wrong crowd - maybe some rollingas or something aye - going to the rolling stones when they come>?
I choice to associate with the beautiful argentines and choose activities such as looking at ourselfs in shop windows and working out.
theres heaps of good gyms in palermo - theres one on santa fe near the plaza italia stop. well 2 blocks b4 i think
i found a few shops in caballito with some vitamins but have to keep looking.
I have a high spec body sneilz, it runs harder faster and stronger than most and unfortunately requires alot of nutrients and trace elements that are simply not found in the day to day argentine diet. |

yea i've been walking around exploring and there seem to be some decent gyms nearby. so far centrum is all i've found for vitamins, but i think i can deal with that. And sneilz, I think I'm about to surpass your new forum low by responding to your question, haha: I'm still jet-lagged out of my mind, and no, I'm not 'regular.' |

Oooh, srp...thanks for that.
Gareth, as far as the "trace elements", I think I know a guy who knows a guy who has helped Marion Jones, Rafael Palmiero, Jose Canseco, and a few other high performance athletes with "high spec" bodies that might be able to help you out if this is what you are wanting. If so, pm me...
hehe. Just kidding. Good luck with the Centrum Silver and the Metamucil.
By the way, in Palermo between Sante Fe and Guemes from Salguero down to Colonel Diaz there seem to be at least five gyms that always have people in them and look fairly large and not too costly...and when walking by them, I always see lithe, lean Argentine women (and men) coming out of them. You may want to look in to that area. |

I found a place that sells protein - a sporting goods store on the corner of las heras y billinghurst. Doesn't mix very well, but tastes decent enough. It cost $47 pesos for 500g... definately not any cheaper than most proteins in the US but I guess thats just the price to pay to keep from stuffing myself with empanadas after every workout. |
