Ahaaaaa...so someone out there at least is following the Bebsi adventures Very Happy

Thanks AT, you are quite correct...well, almost, as we went to France for 3 weeks, but only spent a few days of that time in Paris. After that we hired a car and drove all around.

A GYM, dmb? Nooooooooooooooooo...I mean, I have squandered lotsa money over the years but never to that crazy extent.

Actually, after a looong summer holiday of excess on all fronts, a gym is now what the proverbial (not a real one, I hope Shocked ) doctor may be ordering. The Bebsi bank account and waistline are now in serious conflict: one is seriously expanding while the other is in terminal decline. No prizes for guessing which is doing what........ Sad

This is why Bebsi needs to get back to KSA fast, on both counts. However, there are the usual visa-bureaucracy probs, but they should be resolved soon.

What are they, I hear you all ask? The embassy won't accept Bebsi as a real name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, in the space on the form marked "Sex", I lied about the frequency Confused Embarassed .

Bureaucracy will always be a problem in KSA.

I didnt ask, but maybe the Saudis dont want any babbling, emoticon-using, dweebs in their country.

Thanks, dmb. Smile

HPD, now I know what babbling is (I think as in "babbling brooks" so beloved of Romantic poets?), and "emoticon-using"...well, I think I understand what that means Confused Indeed, why, I have even been known to use emoticons myself on occasion Laughing

Dweebs, however...what in goodness name are they? Confused

I've never heard of them Embarassed , but perhaps they are a transatlantic expression for humourless, delusional grandiose-avatar-using people who have notions about themselves being pioneers of adventure, exploration and even, dare I suggest, the great-and-good moral fight, a la the hollywood Cowboy hero as a symbol of righteousness? Wink

Now, I don't actually know but I am just guessing here. Or are Dweebs things that some people don't like, that they regard as an irritation or nuisance in some way? Rolling Eyes

Perish the thought that I would strive or conspire to irritate anyone!!!! Shocked Twisted Evil

Laughing

Now if you two get into a spitting contest (insert favorite emoticon here), they will just lock the thread and we'll never find out about that elusive 15% raise...

VS (besides bebsi, I kinda like his avatar...)

Couldn't help myself laughing at this Bebsi! But don't we all ?! Wink

Also, as VS pointed out, the 15% is main thread here .... well... I rang a friend of mine yesterday at IPA and he said that they got Jack Diddley Crying or Very sad .... so it sounds as if no raise yet!

Well, back to the business at hand.

Yes, an across-the-board rise in the 15% region would indeed be nice. However, I am only going here on what emerges from this thread, as I am still awaiting paperwork to be sorted out in order to get back into KSA. (Should happen soon, tho Smile )In the meantime, I am hoping that indeed there may be some fire as well as smoke. There usually is, except that what is frequently mistaken for smoke in Saudi parts, is really just a haze of sand blowing around.

I will believe the pay-rise bit when I see it in my bank a/c.
