Hi, I have three separate issues I would like to address.
I was thinking about bringing my Playstation 2 to Japan.
If I get a television while in Japan,
can I be guaranteed that it has
S-Video in capability? Here in
America, it seems all TVs have A/V
in but only a few have S-Video.
I have a few electronic devices I would
like to take with me to Tokyo.
Hair dryer, electric toothbrush, and
battery recharger (maybe a few
other items). Can I be assured that all these
items will work flawlessly in Tokyo
without a need for any type of
converter. I know that in western
Japan, I probably do...? I heard
that the frequency is a little different
so something like an alarm clock
might actually be off by a few minutes
over a certain period of time...
Finally, in America I have both
a DSL modem and a cable modem.
I was thinking about getting
internet access in Japan. In Tokyo,
are both services readily available?
I heard that Yahoo broadband is
one option. I prefer cable modem
service, but I assume I'll have to
get cable TV service too. What's
the availability of either of these two
and how much is it? Can I use
(or should I bring) either/or these
modems that I own with me to
Tokyo? Will they work? Or do
I need to buy the modem from
the ISP in Japan?
Thanks. |
