I just returned from a two-day excursion over the Christmas break -
This is one country you don't want to miss -
Lake Atitla near Panajachel...so much beauty...so much natural power...
Antigua...so well known in these parts...so beautiful in its own right...
Go...see...you won't be disappointed! |

Check back in a couple of years and I may be able to offer you a job there.
Maybe as a kinder teacher, maybe as a waiter (-ress) depending which of two career paths I follow.
And who wouldn't want to work for mixtecamike? |

Starting a business there. As people who have read my complaints over the past few years can attest, I am not happy with the wages one receives in Latin America, so I'm going to be the boss and pay those miserable wages, rather than receive them.
As my family is in Guatemala, that's where I should be, and in all seriousness running a business is the only way to make a decent living down there. |

Mike, have you considered where in Guat? I hear Antigua is a center for language studies, mostly Spanish. Would give you an infrastructure alreay in place.
PM me if you would like to discuss this a bit. I'm interested in some ideas. |

Don't hold me to this, Guy, but I think the term 'Guat' could come back to haunt you...
Let's give creedence to the sensibilities of those who have gone before and - like Adam - must have put some real time and thought into naming these wonders of GODS creation... |

I've heard the restaurants in Antigua have a high turnover rate.
I'll be there at the end of Sept for 9 weeks.
I can't wait. |
