Welcome David! First post in nearly 2 and half years. Wow!
I would say some want Japanese though not necessarily intermediate. There seem to be more and more hoops for less and less. Some want musical talent, acting, degrees in all kinds of crazy things. People who can also teach French, German and Spanish while balancing a ball on their nose, etc. A lot want you to already have a visa and even apt.
If you like where you are in Korea I'd say stay there and just visit Japan. Lots of weird, drunk or otherwise unappealing foreigners in Japan too except of course me-when I was there.  I mainly hung out with Japanese. |
