In yesterdays (October 3) issue of SCMP there was an article Medical care: high-priced and hard to get (page A8 ), the first of a three-part series (I don't know if it's going to be continued today and tomorrow or next Mondays). Today Im back in Hunan province and wont get hold of the paper, which means I will miss the two parts (the online archives are paid and my current location doesn't make things easy for me). However, I badly need to read the full series, so could somebody make a scanned copy or a digital photo of the two articles and send it to me as a jpg file? I need this for my research on an article on Chinese healthcare in a Polish newspaper. I will cite the helper as a contributor to the article (if you care if your name will appear in a Polish weekly magazine). Please PM me if you can do that and I will give you my contact email address. Thanks!

I know what you mean: it's a series of articles on mainland China's health care, segmented into 5 parts. Today - Wednesday - they published part No. 2 (or 3); it dealt with China's hospital doctors and their low pay.
It would cost me an arm and a leg to get hold of this article (I would have to scan it in a hotel business centre, and they charge hefty fees).

Since you subscribed to their online edition, can't you get them to send you this particular page?

I haven't subscribed to SCMP archives - I can't see how I could do it from Hunan. More importantly, one of the posters here was so kind as to offer his help (he's an online subscriber), but so far he hasn't been able to locate the second part of the article in the archives. This probably means the only way for me to get hold of it (and be able to pass this knowledge to Polish readers) would be to have a copy of the paper page.

Besides, on Monday, October 3, the paper announced publishing three articles on mainland health care. Now you say there are 5 parts - ? This all means that just because I couldn't stay in Hong Kong a few days longer I may miss the opportunity to write an informative and (hopefully) successful article Sad

I don't want you to pay through your nose to scan the article, so how about taking a digital photo of it? I don't need it to be perfect - as far as I can make out the text it's all right.
