In the US someone with a masters and a few years teaching experience doesn't make much to begin with. I'd say about half of the low level retail managers in this country have degrees in history, English, and foreign languages.

If I had an opportunity to make my Saudi salary teaching in the US, I'd jump on it.

I don't understand why anyone from the UK would bother though. The riyal is linked to the dollar which would make it pretty weak versus the pound. no?

You can save in Saudi. Not many people can save on a UK salary.
