Never thought I'd admit it, but I too miss that kook Moonraven. After all, she inspired some of my finest posts. And invective makes for much more interesting reading than all this boring politeness. Now that she's no longer posting I hardly ever visit the board; she has left us only with her less entertaining acolytes. Whatever happened to that babe, anyway? |

Sticks and stones, Guy.
Anyway, we find you entertaining.

but less so that Moonie. PErsonally, I found Paulie to be the most entertaining. But then again, I've always had a strange fascination with train wrecks and airplane crashes too. |

That we do! In fact maybe I should write a poem about you next...oh wait...d'oh!
Actually I think the best posts were when Moonie and Paulie got going at each other, then you could just sit back, relax and enjoy the fireworks without any effort on your part.

Yeah, careful or she'll bite your ankles
Alternatively MELEE, here's another avatar you might like to try out:
If you're serious about changing your image that is!

Here is the latest offering from PT's poetry corner... I'm on a roll folks!!!
All you posters out on Daves,
Its time to watch your back,
Cause theres a change in the wind,
And it might be hard to hack.
For the sweet and lovely MELEE,
Is going to get tough.
Thats right our gentle MELEE,
Is about to get more rough!
Once we knew to turn to her,
Whenever things got bad,
Now we must be more careful,
Or she might start to get mad.
Shes noticed that there is a gap,
In our posting crew,
Shell reinvent herself to fill it,
Better watch out when shes through.
Shes out there on the forum now,
Gonna teach us all the score.
So be warned and be prepared for it,
She is MELEE, hear her ROAR!
And on that note, I'm away for the weekend so have a good one folks!

I was looking around for a new avatar, something along the lines of a Doberman baring its teeth, but I just cant part with my cute little friend
So it looks like the lunar fowl's shoes are far to big for me, If I wanted to be like her, I'd have to constantly point out that I did not come to Mexico to teach, but rather to research the book that I published (IN SPANISH!) about the life of Zapata, and that I loved his old haunts in the state of Morelos so much that I stayed there to write, direct and star in a play that educated the locals about their great hero. And despite having no formal TEFL training, Id have to say that got into teaching and was even made manager of a branch of a national chain of language schools. And that when I left said language school I got into a dispute about my severance package and took the school to court and won, despite being a foreigner, but after all, if I were her, Id be a blonde Native American. I'd have to brag about the fact that I don't own any books about teaching English, because in fact, I much prefer to read in Spanish. And that I later became the director of the language department at more than one university but spent most of my time their giving academic talks (IN SPANISH) about other areas of interest, as well as developing study skills programs for the marvelous students that would solve all their learning problems and help them advance from no English to fluent four semesters, of course I would have to have left these positions before it became clear that the students still had major problems. All the while lamenting that I sold the world's greatest vocho after years of having people beg me to sell it to them, this vocho was highly superior because it came from the other side of the boarder, I wouldn't by one made in Mexico, because they are inferior, but if anyone else suggested anything in Mexico was inferior Id barrage them with insults and tell them to get the hell out of the country. If I were her, Id be very vocal about the evils of multinational big box stores, but insist, that outside of the bazaars which sell imported used clothes the only place that us blonde Native Americans can decently cloth ourselves in this country is at Palacio de Hierro! |
