P.S. Please remember that I am also trying to get a job in Japan as well.Even so, I still make such gross generalizations. |
remind me to tell myself not to take you too seriously when you make gross generalisations about what its like working for the big language schools or what its like to live here. Such generalisations fly thick and fast on this forum as well as on Gaijinpot, and most are grounded in naivete and ignorance. |

Am I allowed to make gross generalisations about young Americans who come here with good looking, personable hot Japanese spouses? |

EDIT: Deleting my own post.
I am stopping my posts to this thread because it sees like it is getting out of hand.

| I've been gone a while and come back for a look and nothing has changed. People still fighting about Japanese women, it give a real good impression of the motives of many teachers in Japan. |

We all know what you think about Japanese women in Australia, Malcolm.
Visa hunters, the whole bunch of them. |

| You will be the first to know when I find one that is not. Though I will admit there are other groups aswell as the Japanese who are actively hunting visas. |

Either that or gold diggers who want to marry macho Australian men.
Lots of Australian visa hunters in Japan, too. |

Exactly what visa are they hunting?
We are allowed to work there with a degree and the university system hands them out at the moment. Actually I went down to a print shop to have my awards laminated. The lady there asked me if they were legit. I said i hope so they cost me a lot of money and I worked hard. Anyway a group of people had been in there and had been using the latest computer and printing equipment to copy degrees and what not. Apparently they were on their way to teach in Japan. |

Also, it seems like most of those people like Japan because it is an easy job, they become "Charisma Man" and date mediocre looking Japanese chicks just to get laid.

I've got to agree with you 100 percent, most of these new arrivals don't have a clue about teaching, could care less about it anyway, and are happy because some average looking bird is willing to date them.
Back home they'd never date such a girl, or then again maybe no one would date them. Here a mediocre looking girl would, so they seem to be happy.
And Paul, I don't think Jared was saying Japanese women are mediocre looking, he was pointing out the well-known fact that most of these blokes here who think they are Romeos dating hot women are actually tossers dating average looking women.
But hey, if self delusion works for them, who am I to argue. At least they're happy, ha ha ! |
