You actually start referring to it as a real cafe
You blow off spending time with friends or family because you made plans to log on to Daves.
You envy people who have more posts than you and view it as a competition
You want to be a mod
Once you've read every post in the relative board you then go on and read other posts for countries that has nothing to do you with you (yeah I do that)
You can't remember the last time you had human interaction
Your loved ones have held at least 1 Dave's intervention
I hope you all found this funny and not offensive

You mention certain posts or even threads when you have a conversation with a fellow FT. |

- You check your favorite country forums and find to your dismay that there aren't any new animated orange flags.
- You check an hour later and still see nothing new and this puts a damper on your whole evening.
- You start checking other forums just to get your orange flag fix.
- You suggest opening a dave's esl cafe gift shop with a focus on shirts. You recommend that every member should buy one so that you can "find" each other in the real world. |

You feel you know some people on here better than your own wife, even though you have never met them.
You make arrangement to meet up with complete strangers offline just because they are members.
You constantly check your mailbox for incoming mail
You are disappointed when no one has written to you in the last 3 hours..
You are late for class because you are logged on to ESL cafe.
You get threads named in your honor. "A question for....."
You wonder if they use their real portraits in their avatars.
You cure insomnia by logging on at 4am (a regular habit these days) to check postings. |

You start citing things from Dave's in daily conversation with non-members/addicts ("I read on Daves that...")

Yeah I've done quite a few of those myself. Nothing to be ashamed of. |

...when you actually try and read those multi-paragraph posts which could have said the same in one sentence. What sort of teacher writes such drawn out drivel? Oh yes, Americans. |

You spend way too much time on Dave's when...
...you have Dave's set up as your homepage. |
