This was a message I recieved from this agency/person. They did not have a specific job for me I guess, just expected me to show up in China, turn over all my papers, pay a fee and hope theyd find me a job. I'm not sure what their affiliation is with "Legal Daily" and what that is exactly. This person claims to be an American but has some odd ways of expressing him/her self (including many Chinese characters in the e-mails, and a photo of someone vaguely resembling an Afro-American male on the website) and I doubt "Perlandas" (if that really is their real name) even exists.

Dear: Rick
We will be looking foward to your arrival to Shenzhen. As you might not know, we are an agency which helps foreigns find schools which are mainly located in Shenzhen. As you can see, we try our best to offer you the highest paying schools with the best conditions. The more succesful schools contact us first. Please contact us once you are ready to come to Shenzhen. You will not need to worry about this particular job, we will have a lot more jobs once you arrive. Although it is not a must to have a TESOL certificate, it certainly helps alot when we are ready to place you in a particular school. Thanks for your consideration and we will be looking foward to your response.
Regards
Perlandas

What is the point of this post?
It looks like a typical recruiters e-mail. |

Is that they look like a shady organization. They claim to be a lot of things they probably are not, and promise a lot of things they most likely cannot deliver on.
I just wanted to find out if anyone has had further dealings, so others can be warned.... |

It's strange that the organization is based in Memphis, Tennessee, but can supposedly help you get jobs in SZ. I bet the guy in the photo came from the last group of kids who came on the U. of Memphis teacher exchange program. He probably stayed behind, met some school owners, and is trying to set up this consulting thing. It looks like it's not really anything now, but he's trying to make it sound impressive so he can get business. It's probably nothing. You could probably just as well contact schools yourself. |

Demand they find you a guaranteed job now before you arrive. If they can't or tell you that they will wait until you get here. Then tell them where to go and look elsewhere!! |
