| Reminds me of a report I saw last night-the usual big 1st world company going into a developing country and making billions while damaging the environment and health of the locals. Of course a deal was made with the president. Just because it can be done doesn't mean it should. Some locals are employed but surely not nearly enough. These countries can't make much money from their own resources because they lack the know how, money, equipment etc. How can they ever get ahead under these conditions? |
