Is it true that it is better to get your Celta cert and/or university diploma signed by someone here in the US before traveling abroad to teach?

Sorry if this question is dumb, I just thought I remembered reading somewhere if this Forum that it is "easier" to do it while still in the states... now I can't remember where I read that exactly, and what I meant - that is, WHO signs it ???

Smile
Thanks.
Deb

I suspect that you've read about the process of apostillization, which is required for Mexico. You must have certain legal documents either apostillized or legalized, depending on your country of origin.

I imagine some other countries may require a similar process.

Hey thanks for the quick and competent response!

Where does a person go to get it apostillized? I will be headed to Mexico, Argentina or Chile, and I'm from the US.

Thanks again for your help!
Debbie

In most American states you get your documents apsotillized at your state's "Secretary of State" office.
