1. I LOVE my MP3 player-especially when I put it on random. I have over 4000 tracks on it and just hit shuffle and absolutely love the various songs it plays- like my own personal radio station. If there was a fire in my house, this is the first thing I would grab.

2. My cell phone has become my life line. Even though I rarely use it to make phone calls, it has become my watch, Japanese-English dictionary, my calander, schedule organizer, camera, alarm clock, and of course, text message, among other things.

3.My desktop, I can video conference my parents, download torrents to transfer to my MP3 player, etc..

How about you?

In random order...

1. Desktop. As stated above great for torrents.

2. Keitai. I rarely use it to make call also. But great for all the above reasons above and I can use it in America. SO no more using my moms Fred Flintstone mobile.

3. He's where I have to differ from Oskajojo. I have an MP3 player, nice to have but it gets bet by my carnavi. I like to travel and you it for most of my work. It is a vital for navigating Japans road system.

1. cell phone. It's old but convenient for calling or e-mailing people.
2. Esectronic dictionary.
3. Laptop. I'm on it now, but can't wait to get one that gets torrents. As soon as I understand exactly what a torrent is.

This is a tough choice, I am a gadget junkie but I think it would have to be:

1. My laptop. It's my everything tool, plays movies, music, connects me with the outside world and Dave's.

2. My mp3 player. Makes my commute bearable when I've run out of English books (again!) and also becomes a data storage device when necessary.

3. My cell phone. Mostly for its communication capabilities but also because it has games on it that have saved my sanity on the aforementioned commute several times.

I also want to give my Swiss-army knife an honourable mention. It's invaluable around the barn (has pliers and both a Philips and flat head screw driver), the scissors and knife blades are well sharp and up for anything and who can live without a plastic toothpick in their lives...ok so I would've preferred the pen option but overall it's a brilliant thing to have even if it's not technology based!

I bought this gadget at the 100 yen shop that is like a shaver for your clothes that gets all the fluffy bits of them. That thing rules.

1. My laptop. Although I hate it at times, it can also be a good friend.

2. My digital camera. I have a new 7.2 on order and can't wait.

3. Baby monitor. Can take it with you to hotels so don't have to sit in the room in the dark.

1. Laptop (apple G4)never do I have to be chained to a desk again and given the number of free hotspots around you can get internet almost anywhere, in fact the guy next door doesn't pay for internet just a homemade aerial and he's away.

2. Bike.

3. Messenger bag. (crumpler) designed to hold the laptop and everything else. Only downside is I fill it with too much crap.

Don't own a mobile, I got the wife the I-pod mostly so she can hold photos and video from her digital camera and not max out her memery card. Also likes to read/sing the lyrics to the song shes listening to.

Gadgets, huh?

1. Right now I am in love with my PS2. The husband has returned to America and I have a bit more time on my hands. Nothing like video games for a little distraction.

2. I have an old school turntable with the speaker built in. It's mono (not stereo) and has pretty clunky sound, but I love listening to my record collection and having and excuse to buy more vinyl in Japan.

3. The camera on my cell phone. It's great for getting pictures for my blog or keeping my husband updated on all the dull stuff that's going on here. (Look at the size of the roach in the sink this morning, etc.)

My three favorite gadgets was tought to decide. I ended up with my laptop for all the creativity I do with it.
Second is my bicycle, I love the freedom of going on a nice long ride.
Third is my DVD player but this is where deciding was tough, because the DVD player would be useless without my TV. However together, I have a great system. Wtching a movie at my house is an experience. The picture so clear and the sound surrounds me giving a feeling of being in the middle of the movie. I prefer to watch a movie at my house than go to a theater. However, without the TV my DVD player is worthless so then I would of choosen my Keitai, because like stated above I can do so many things with it. It is also my watch, because I never much cared for strapping a watch to my risk.

The cisterns that fill up via a washbasin when you flush the toilet so you can wash your hands and conserve water.
