Unfortunately I think you'll have a difficult time finding well-paying work in Oaxaca: one of my co-workers taught part-time at a university there for four years, and was never able to find teaching work that paid more than 5000 pesos a month.

Good luck; I hope you have more success!

I agree with LS on this one. Oaxaca City is a hard game. So many people want to live there. Lots of people who don't need to support themselves (retirees, or young people with other income or something to fall back on) so take a few hours here or there at a low wage.
I also imagine between now and Feb. will be a hard time to find work.
I can give you a few names however,

The best language school is the Cambridge Academy, but I think they require a CELTA.
The universities that hire Native Speakers are: UABJO, URSE, and Vasconcelos. Again I think you'd need a CELTA, DELTA, or MA for those jobs.
There are two really good private high schools, Instituto Blaise Pascal, and Carlos Graciela, they would have openings in Feb, and Aug.

BONJ:

ARE LOOKING FOR A POSITION IN THE CAPITAL OR THE STATE. THERE ARE POSITIONS POSTED THROUGHOUT OAXACA . SEEMINGLY IN REMOTE AREAS. I KNOW OF A UNIVERSITY POSSIBLY HIRING HOURS SOUTH OF THE CAPITAL IF YOU WISH TO CONTACT ME.

BY THE WAY. ARE ALL OF YOUR DOCUMENTS APOSTILLED AND READY TO BE PROCESSED. BE AWARE THAT THE IMMIGRATION PROCESS CAN BE SLOW AND YOU MIGHT NOT GET PAID FOR WEEKS OR MONTHS EVEN WITH ALL THE CORRECT PAPER WORK IN HAND. ADVANCES ARE SOMETIME GIVEN.
BEST OF LUCK

acliun is correct. It's difficult to find work in the city of Oaxaca, but in the more remote regions of the state you can find jobs that are reasonably well-paying, if remotely located.

I think we all should have cautioned you about the need for apostillization/legalization. Take a search through previous threads for more info.
